Part-Time Stock Associate

The Frye Company currently has exciting opportunity available for Stock Associates interested in joining the team at our retail store location, at The Summit at Fritz Farm in Lexington, Kentucky. Stock Associates at The Frye Company are responsible for working as a team to maintain a neat and well organized stockroom. They also partner with the sales team to help create a memorable shopping experience for all of our customers. Specific responsibilities of the Stock Associate position include but are not limited to:
• Participate in all aspects of merchandise coordination including shipment receiving, unpacking and product placement in the stockroom
• Work as a team to maintain a neat and organized stockroom, storage area and shipping/receiving area
• Support the sales team by responding to requests for product quickly and efficiently
• Greet and engage all customers when on the sales floor
• Assist the sales team with floor recovery by removing footwear boxes from the sales floor and re-packing footwear according to Frye standards
• Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in communication with customers and peers
o Skills and Requirements:
•1-3 years of sales or stock experience preferred

Position Description

The Community & Events Manager’s primary responsibility will be to cultivate relationships with our customers, local community organizations, schools, partners, influencers, philanthropic organizations and industry leaders.

Working directly with the Store Manager and Senior Leaders, the Community & Events Manager will be responsible for increasing brand awareness through in-store and off-site events, promotional campaigns, guerilla marketing, partner interactions and customer experience.

The Community & Events Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all customer and community initiatives for Water + Oak Outdoor Co. Lexington. Strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines are all very important. However, the ability to connect with people (listening, understanding and communicating) is the most critical skill for success in the position.

Responsibilities

o Build and maintain relationships with local groups such as philanthropic organizations, partners, schools, community organizations, influencers and industry leaders.
o Represent and attend all Summit Fritz Farm tenant meetings and report.
o Plan and execute all events for Water + Oak Outdoor Co. Lexington.
o Work with vendors to develop promotional/marketing materials for events.
o Manage and maintain accurate quarterly calendar for store and communicate details with team; including all in-store and off-site events, sales contests, promotions and sales.
o Manage local Community Marketing budget and expenses.
o Communicate to the Social Media Coordinator in an effective, professional, timely and grammatically correct manner all local marketing initiatives.
o Provide Store Manager and Senior Leaders a bi-weekly report describing schedule, goals, objectives, progress, suggestions, concerns and community news that impacts the stores activities and sales.
o Execute strong event visuals both in-store and off-site.
o Measure and report results of all in-store and outside events to determine revenue and brand-building success.
o Ensure all in-store promotional campaigns and print collateral are accurate and consistent with Brand Standards and Marketing Calendar.
o Work closely with Store Manager to ensure a smooth operation of all events, promotions, etc.
o Educate team and keep them engaged and excited to be a part of the event’s execution and success.
o Represent store and brand as a local spokesperson at event and media appearances when called upon to do so.
o Monitor and provide feedback to corporate on competitor regarding key product, important sales and promotional events
o Provide first class customer service and professionalism on all local partnerships, events, programs and relationships.
o Process all donation requests according to established guidelines while adhering to a pre-approved budget.

Education/ Experience

o Bachelor’s degree and/or event experience preferred.
o A local community member with established contacts preferred.
o Exceptional planning, time management, communication and organizational skills.
o Ability to prioritize tasks and “get it done.”
o Exceptional verbal communication and public speaking skills, as well as strong and concise writing skills.
o Ability to work weekends and evenings as necessitated by the event schedule.
o Retail experience preferred.
