PURPOSE:
- The Marketing/Event Intern will be responsible for assisting the center through organization and implementation of its marketing, business development, public relations, sponsorship, social media, event plans and execution. This will be accomplished through developing, maintaining and expanding marketing channels and event plans to the professional community and in coordination with retailers on‐site.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- • Develop and schedule creative content for The Summit’s digital presence; including Instagram, Facebook, website and e‐newsletters
- • Assist in planning, writing and maintaining the monthly retailer newsletter
- • Collaborate with staff on strategic events and partnerships for community outreach
- • Collaborate with retailers on in‐store events and communications
- • Collaborate with the Marketing Team on sponsorship ideas, proposals and pitches
- • Organize and maintain on‐site signage
- • Complete event calendars, agreements and layout of events
- • Prepare marketing presentations, reports and promotional materials
- • Keep inventory of event supplies and storage
- • Staff certain events and maintain guest lists, check‐ins and tenant coordination
REQUIREMENTS:
- • Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment
- • Must have excellent interpersonal and follow–up skills
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and social media platforms required
- • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites preferred
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- • Event experience preferred
- • Must be able to lift 25lbs
