The Giselle Jupe Table is a flexible piece with a hint of tradition in the honeycomb marquetry on its tabletop. Jupe tables were designed in the 1800s to enlarge a round table base into a larger round table by simply turning the table and placing in specially designed leaves. Years later this style of dining table extension still impresses and is manufactured by a small number of furniture makers. The Giselle table's leaves fold out from a lower section (in apron) that is hidden from view when using the table in the original form, giving easy maintenance of extension pieces when not in use.
