Our springtime sweets look like dyed Easter eggs, but their colorful candy shells are filled with creamy salted caramel and a layer of crunchy gianduja chocolate. Inspired by the sugared almonds served at the wedding feast of Catherine de Médicis and the future King Henry II of France in 1533, the tempting treats are made at a family-owned confectionery in France and finished with sparkling sugar. They make a festive addition to gift baskets, dessert trays and place settings.
